Try the following if you transferred rune, BRC-20, Ordinals or other assets to your Oyl wallet address and they are not showing up under the Assets tab.
Verify the address you sent the asset to is the same as the Oyl account you are currently viewing in Oyl wallet. Note that Oyl accounts correspond to different account indexes on the same wallet or seed phrase.
To see your account addresses in Oyl wallet, click on the Receive
button. The Taproot address displayed should be the address where you sent the asset.
If it does not look correct, you can change which account your are viewing by clicking on the avatar button in the upper left corner and selecting a different Account.
Verify that the assets show up correctly on ordiscan.com. There are different tabs for assets. Make sure your asset shows up under the correct tab.
If your asset does not show up correctly, there may have been a problem with the transfer. For example, if your BRC-20 shows up under the Inscriptions
tab but not under the BRC-20
tab, it could be that the structure of the send transaction is incorrect. If that is the case you will need to contact your sending wallet to help troubleshoot why the transaction is not correct.
It was possible in Oyl Wallets with versions 1.9 and earlier to create seed phrases that were not BIP-39 compatible. This will no longer be possible staring with Oyl Wallet 1.10.
If you have a wallet that was created with an invalid seed phrase, you will need to migrate your assets to a new OYL Wallet. To enable this, Oyl has temporarily made it possible to import invalid seed phrases. Starting with version 1.10 users with invlalid seed phrases will be presented with the following import screen:
You can click on Import anyway
to import your old wallet. Once you have opened your wallet, you should send your assets to an Oyl wallet with a BIP-39 compatible seed phrase.
Support for non-BIP39 phrases will soon be discontinued, so we recommend migrating your assets to a new wallet as soon as possible.
